I really like my old 3 speed (not Personal Pace) Toro Supper Recycler. The aluminum desk is still as solid as the day I bought it and most of the paint is still on it !
The old B&S 5.5 HP Quantum is starting to use oil. I have to top it off every time I add gas. I don't think it will last much longer. B&S no longer makes the Quantum engine and the replacement has the carburetor and muffler on opposite sides.
Has anyone tried to install a Harbor Freight Predator engine on the deck ? I'll bet the holes line up, but I am concerned about the controls. The carburetor and muffler are on opposite side. Not sure how to hook up the throttle cable and blade brake cables. I'm not even sure if that engine comes with a blade brake !
