  • / Checking front and rear wheel speed on AWD Husqvarna R320X AWD
Hi all,
I live on a small island in Greece and I have recently taken delivery of a new Husqvarna R320X AWD, direct from Husqvarna. My nearest agent is a 2 day journey so maintenance and pre-delivery checks are down to me. The manual requires the speed on the front transaxle to be checked and adjusted to 0.95% of the rear transaxle speed. I wonder if anyone has done this check/adjustment and has any tips. The manual recommends (of course) the very expensive Husqvarna wheel roller tool and the equally expensive tachometer. I have a decent tacho but wondered if I could get away with using a pair of motorbike wheel roller stands. Has any of you guys or gals done this test? Any tips much appreciated.

P.S. This new mower is fantastic on my ridiculously rocky and terraced hillside. It is replacing a 15 year old BCS 2 wheel tractor with mower attachment which has gotten too heavy to use (or I have gotten too old).
