 I have a Craftsman lawn tractor with a 24 hp intek briggs & Stratton that doesn't charge and I've already changed the rectifier and still doesn't charge. What's left the Stator?
First check to make sure you have 12v to the regulator. if that is good, then unplug the two wire connector from the stator to the regulator, and check the voltage there. You check that by putting one lead of a meter onto each side of the two wire plug. this will be AC voltage. Should be 28-36v normally.
