This is not a mower but I figured you could help I have a pacer pump with a 9.00 gross torque 5.5 hp brigs 900 series engine it has been siting for some time I'm fixing it for my friend but the carb was dirty so cleaned and soaked it in cleaner remounted it it would start then die so I removed the bowl not a drop of gas so I checkers the file lines the gas was flowing freely so it was not making though to the bowl and I blew it out with an air compressor and cleaned it the best I could same thing could you guys help please

working from the carb back to the tank - with the float bowl off, check that the float moves up then drops down, check that the inlet needle that the float touches also moves up & down, then remove inlet needle valve & gently blow back through the fuel inlet nozzle (fuel hose off) to clear a blockage, remove fuel hose & blow though to clear any blockage (check for a fuel tap & make sure it isn't blocked), then check fuel tank outlet.
reassemble, add fresh fuel & check fuel flow.
