Hello Have a John Deere riding lawnmower with a Briggs & Stratton engine.
Would clean the carburetor.
Opened the carburetor and a small nozzle fell out (see picture blue ring) Looks like an idle nozzle.
Should be sitting at red ring( I think). But there is nothing holding the nozzle in place.
Suggestions on what to do or what I have misunderstood?

First your lucky it didn't go awol.

No it did not fall out of area circled. It came out the plastic fuel transfer tube. The o-ring needs replacing and then the main put back into the transfer tube. Briggs will sell the jet with the o-ring already on it. But if you can someone to sell the Kawasaki PN 92055-7013. They retail for $0.86 ea but they are sold packs of 5 for a good reason as they are very easily lost.

Also the bowl gasket set needs replacing anytime you remove the fuel bowl. Briggs PN 698781. These are easily damaged and do leak easily.

Here is tutorial of the this carburetor. Note the spring holding the transfer may not present in your version of the carburetor. Also probably a different looking fuel solenoid.
