Carborator keeps flooding

Hello I have a husquavarna yth24v48 with a 24 hp Briggs and Stratton Intek V-Twin engine

Recently when I start it will run for about 20 seconds, start to smoke a bit, runs rough and then stalls. I noticed gas in the pan under the carborator, took the carborator apart and it was absolutely full of gas. I cleaned it up and looked for leaking seals, but it seems fine. After purging the gas from the carborator it starts fine and will keep running. When I try to start a week later, same thing happens all over again. At this point I need to purge the carborator of gas every time I start.

I would put an inline shutoff on it. That way you won't get fuel in the crank case. As long as you shut it off every time you finnish mowing.

replace the carb or rebuild it, your needle valve is leaking

Or if it is a Nikki carburetor the fuel inlet tube o-ring is bad.
