Hello, I have a HRB216TDA and I was going to purchase a new carb for it. The new replacement one looks to be quite different. My biggest concern is the mounting posts. the old carb has the holes which are off set. the new carb, the mounting holes seem to be level which would mean it wouldn't be level when attached to the intake manifold. Any ideas on my concerns?
Thanks

Don't quite understand what you mean by offset. There are numbers stamped onto the carb body that you should look for and match up for a new carb.

Take a look here to get an idea of what you need.

There are a couple of valid part numbers for the TDA's carburetor:

(A) Most current is 16100-Z0L-023
(B) Earlier number is 16100-Z0L-013
(C) Even earlier is 16100-Z0L-003

If you order number C or B, you should actually get A. But, if you get C or B, it should fit/work okay. Here's an image that shows all the bits; confirm you are getting all the correct spacers, gaskets, etc. in the right order and orientation....

I don't think those will fit.The 16100-ZG9-M12 I believe is the one I need.
Thanks,

We can tell for sure if you'll get the serial number off the back of the mower's deck; it's in the form of "MAAA-1234567."

The part number 16100-AG9-M12 fits the earlier HRB215 models; you have an HRB216.
