Carb rebuild?

I know I said carb, but I meant the whole engine. I have a 1996 MTD Yard Machine in the restoration process. Starting on the engine as of now, where is the best place to get gaskets, filters, or anything I need for this 18 hp briggs and Stratton? Thanks for any help.

Your local dealer... Personally with rebuilds I just replace carb and valve stems gaskets and seals
