Carb Rebuild Kit

Can anyone help me with what rebuild kit I need for my Briggs and Stratton engine.Went to their website and put in the model # but they had no match.Its a Briggs 15.5 HP OHV I/C engine.Came on my Craftsman Lawn Tractor about 11 yrs old.Couldnt find a kit on Sears.

If it is a craftsman, it "might" not have the Briggs or tec engine numbers on it. It might start with a 143 number. Once you supply those engine numbers, there are people here that can cross reference those craftsman numbers to the engine manufacture's numbers.

The Model (hard to read) 28U 707 Type 1174-E3 Code 991117ZE. They seem to be etched in and it not the easiest to make out

OK. Seeing that you have a model, type, and code,, it is a B & S engine. I'll have to do some research, or no doubt someone here will chime in.

ok it depends on what carb you have is it a Walbro or a Nikki the Walbro kit is 69091 price is 44.95 the Nikki kit is 695427 price is 35.45 i looked them up on parts tree . com hope this helps
