Carb rebuil with extras

I need some guidance with this carb rebuild kit I bought for my old cast B/S carb. I looks like I have extra parts . I also have a rubber valve seat, but it doesn't appear to fit in any of the needle shafts. Do I in fact need the rubber seat? If so where? The pins are brass if that helps. I will also try to include some pics. Thanks for your help! I feel like I'm getting close but can't quite seal the deal. Rob

Carb kits sometimes are set up for more than 1 style of carb. Some carbs have a needle valve with a viton tip that seats into a brass seat. Others have a press in rubber seat with a plain tipped needle. whatever one your carb takes is the one that you use.
