Hello Mr. & Ms. Lawnmower Fix-its! I am somewhat mechanically minded and so I decided I would fix up lawnmowers. I acquired many free &/or cheap mowers but always seem to get stuck on something! My latest venture with a self propelled Murray mower is a good example! ( 22 inch Murray, model 226130X02A with a 5 h.p. Centura Tecumseh Engine model LEV 120). When I first got it I was encouraged because it started up and ran for a few seconds. I figured, how hard could a fuel problem be? So I took off the carb, cleaned it very well with carb cleaner and tiny wires. The float did not sound wet when I shook it. I was careful to position the needle and seat the teensy beensie seat. Put gaskets on and Whala! NOW IT WON探 START AT ALL! Suggestions? You can email me at LadyWritr2 which is an aol account. I can start all over. Thanks!

I would like you to do the following. First loosen the bolt on the bottom of the carb while it is on the engine. Not all the way out. You should have fuel coming out. If you have fuel coming out you have fuel getting to the carb. Which means we will look at the carb it self. If no fuel comes out you have a furl line problem. Let us know what happens.
