Can't find model number on old school B&S

i recently acquired what i call an old school B&S horizontal shaft (i think) 5 hp engine. its missing the carb. and metal fuel tank assembly. I can not for the life of me find the model number or any number for that matter. I know Briggs & Stratton placed there model numbers in different locations and one being on the metal fuel tank. My question is assuming im not over looking the model number some how and it was on the fuel tank, then what? how can i purchase a new carb. & tank if i don't have model number. i've search the web till im ready to give up. Any help would be very appreciated.

The numbers you need are located on the shroud. Either on the top near the spark plug, or on the square side.

That's where it is . Thank you very much. It had been painted over and i could not see the numbers until i got it in the light at the correct angle but that's where it was on the side of the shroud. Again....Thank You Rivets,
