Got a engine model 122607 0118 on a Toro 20039 mower that starts easily, runs for about 25 minutes and then stops. Has gas, as I can see plenty going through the filter, and I've already rebuild the carb, and checked the float for pin holes. Already replaced the gas cap. Has spark after it dies, when I immediately hook up my speak tester. I've changed out the coil with a working unit, and same issue.
I've not yet moved to the OHV's but I'm thinking that's the next thing to check. Any suggestions from the forum professionals?

When it dies, Does it spit and spitter, or just shut off like you turned a key.

Might pull off the housing and clean out the cooling fins on the motor first off. Does seem like a heat issue.
When it would die, it would sputter then die. I would quickly check the fuel filter and see gas there, so I would then hook up my spark tester and check for spark.
This afternoon, I checked the valves and made slight adjustments. Then I started it and it ran for an hour, which tend to tell me that maybe the valves were too far out of adjustment?
Anyway, I'll mow with it and see if it runs continuously....hope so.
