15.5 hp craftsman rider. The lever that controls the blades won't go all the way down. Consequently, safety feature prevents it from starting. Any ideas? olaf
Post model number from under seat. With deck at lowest setting, visually inspect everything from blade engage lever downward. Also check belts for replacement, idler pulleys secured as well as all components on top of deck for being tight and secure. Have you replaced mower belt recently? Always use oem sears parts when it comes to belts etc.
