This small part came out of the engine sump during an oil change. Does anyone know what this part is? It does not look like something that should be coming out of the engine!
It looks like the pin is part of the governor gear bracket and governor , I assume the decompressor is working and was in tact on cam shaft, if you google oh318ea engine parts diagram, it should show you it s around pt number 14, 15a, 15b and governor system , check it out
