Engine Can I Change F-Muffler Plate for Newer Design? 1992 Model for 1994

Is it possible to change Muffler Plates on 680540 (1992) and 10515 (1994)

I checked part numbers and both use the same Block but different muffler plates...

I bought a used Aluminum Deck and it came with the muffler plate..
I was hoping my 680540 motor would fit with me just drilling a few new holes in the deck but the base is much smaller than the deck hole and I would have to add a filler plate to make it fit..

Then I noticed the 10515 muffler plate might take my 680540 engine and all I would have to do is buy a muffler..

Is there any jet changes that I might have to do changing to a larger muffler without a baffle plate?

AFAIK, all "F" engine blocks have the same mounting arrangements. There were different muffler plates for steel and aluminum decks.
