Camshaft swap

Hi folks, New here and have a question. replacing worn camshaft on my 17.5 intek, ordered a new one to replace it but i recieved one with an oil pump slot which mine does not have, also there are two washers on the other end of my original and not on the new one. can i still use the new one or should i reorder a different one ? model number is 31C707-0230-E1 , i ordered part number 793880 aftermarket online cause i cant get original briggs part till Nov. Thank you.

Your engine calls for the 793880 superceded to 84005207 camshaft. there is no difference in camshaft for the with or without oil pump engines. And the parts diagram doesn't show the washers.

I would very cautious of any after market camshaft I have tried 4x the Chinese after market and had problem all four times. Two would not even fit with grunding the shaft down, a third did even make it 6 months before the ACR failed, and now my own engine's camshaft has failed again (1-1/2 years).

Thank you fellas, im gonna run this one and see what happens, i will get original down the road. This mower only runs about 6 times a year mowing 2 acres of grass on our forty, so its not the end of the world if this cheapo lets go, as long as it does'nt wreck anything else.
