By-Pass Values Open

I was driving my new ztr (2021 Hustler DX Raptor) today. Came to a stop for a lunch break and noticed that both my by-pass values where open. I mean the ztr ran like normal. But anyway consulted the book and pushed them both back in, and drive off. Did I hurt the transmission?

I have a 2017 Raptor SDX and it does the same thing. You have to pull the levers a little farther out and hook the levers on the notch to actually put the transmission into bypass.
