Thinking Im gonna need a backpack blower and dont wanna spend more than $200 for one. It must have the power to blow leaves a good distance so I was thinking at least a 50cc. Right now just using a poulan pro handheld. I live on 2.35 thats mostly overgrown with oak trees. Takes me about 30min to mow what grass we do have growing with a riding mower.

Good luck, if you don't want to spend over $200 for one you'll have to buy used and hope. For a backpack with a 50cc engine your looking at a price tag of $350 and up for anything decent. The cheapest Stihl you'll find is the homeowner version BR 350 with a 63.3cc for $389.95 Echo makes a 50cc and it's a piece of junk for $329.95

You might find a decent used one on Craigslist.

I might hold off then til spring when cash flow picks up again when people start buying used mowers again. Isnt there a BR400 also?

What I meant by that posting was it a piece of junk for what it's advertised to be. Echo says it's a 195mph with 465 cfm which it clearly is not for the consumer. Those ratings they advertise are true but are taken in or at the pipe/ housing not the tube. The blower does a good job for what it is, nothing wrong with that. What's wrong is the way Echo misleads the consumer. As an example, take the Stihl BR 600 mag there rating for that blower is 1012 cfm at the pipe/housing but it's only 712 cfm at the tube @201 mph, big difference.

I disagree it has to have at least 400 cfm at the end of the pipe

Well you can see the difference between the ratings of the pipe and tube on the Br 600. The thing is if you do a comparison and find a blower with a 465 cfm without the tube which is how Echo rates there blowers, I did. Look at the spec's on the BR 200 it's 471cfm without the tube and 406 with the tube and it's mph is 132 mph with the tube. I mean you can go to the stihl site and compare yourself you don't have to believe me. The thing you have too remember is the difference between cfm/volume and mph/velocity.

I see where you say now (my bad) but i dont use my tube much cause when blowing off a lawn to make it look neat i take it off to cover more ground

Is a Echo PB 770t a good model to have?

There all good models and will work well. Just don't be mislead by Echo's advertised features and spec's..If you compare the housing cfm between the Echo 770 and the Stihl 600 cfm rating at there housing the Stihl is 1012 cfm compared to the echo"s 765 cfm. The Stihl BR 600 Magnum is a lot more blower for the same money $499.95 The Stihl is 712 cfm with the tube, with a 201 mph air velocity. If you want to run a fair comparison for the Echo 770t you'll have to look at the BR 430, it has the same 765 cfm at the housing as the 770t and it is 500cfm with the tube and runs 183 mph
