Does anybody do brush mowing with a walkbehind brush mower, is it worth getting one. I am not sure if it would work where I live but you never know until you try.

I had a 15 hp DR field and brush mower. Actually cut down and chewed up 5-6 foot tall stuff just like on the commercials. I probably abused it a little, but I took out a couple of ~ 2 inch thick trees; I think the 15 hp was rated for 1 1/2 inch. In real heavy going there was a little vibration in the handlebars, but it wasn't bad. I say had, because the ex-wife took it. Fair trade, I can buy another DR ...

Good to know, that the unit worked out, too bad about the wife. Way easier to get another mower and your old mower won't be made at you either.

It wasn't inexpensive, but it was a pleasure to have something that worked for me just like on TV.

They seem to be pretty expensive and usually you only brush hog once twice a year(up here anyway). I'd say rent one for a weekend once or twice a year.
