I have a craftmen 54" 26hp Koler that seems to stop running after it heats up and wont run again til its cool. I changed the gas and air filter so far. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could be the gas line is over heating causing vapor lock but that's only a guess. Here is a site that may contain the answer.
Could be an ignition issue as well. The moment the thing quits on you, carefully take out your spark plug and see if it is;
a. firing (you'll obviously have to crank the engine to do this.)
or
b. a little wet.
You should be able to diagnose which system is giving you grief.:smile:

i agree with Benski....it seems like a hell of a lot of ignitions are going out this year....maybe its the planetary alignments:confused3:
