broke belt

my troy-built horse is less tha 1 year old i was mowing along the fence today no high grass no obstacles in the way and my deck belt just breaks for no reason i know i can take it back to lowes and they will have someone put new belt on but i am wondering if this is a problem from the factory that they are not going to tell me about i checked all the pulleys everything looked ok it's a 46 inch cut with 22 hp kohler engine it might be a 20hp thanks for your help in advance.

well talk to the repair shop that takes care of the warrenties for lowes and i have a 2 year warenty on the mower and a 90 day warenty on my belt man im so tired of getting shafted when i buy something so i contacted the better business bureau faxed them a copy of my warenty so we will see what happens next.
