Briggs & stratton Vangaurd 20 Hp Oil leak

Hi Guys
Can anyone shed light on this problem got a crankcase leak on a Vangaurd 20 hp engine oil was coming out between engine block & crankcase when started but now will not kick over . Before strip it down what causes should I be looking for ????

You may have over tightened oil drain plug which will cause flange to crack. Post all numbers from engine please.
