I have a Brute self propelled push mower with a briggs Stratton 6.25 engine/ This is a new mower only used half a dozen times. Person hit a rock broke blade. replaced with new blade, and mower wont start. It turns hard when you turn blade manually. what do we look for to fix this.. crankshaft bent? any ideas??
Sheared flywheel key for sure, replace. Possible bent crank, with a partner, remove the plug, tip the mower on it's side, carb up. Have your partner pull the brake bail back and pull the starter rope. You watch the center of the crank and look for a wbble.
