Has anyone had reacuring failure's of this unit ,two units in two years, seems this troybilt is the problem like it runs to hot for these units causeing them to fail, does that make sense to anyone.Would like your thoghts on this. I only cut about less then a third of a acre once a week so it isnas if it is working to much. Jasbo
Magnetos will fail prematurely due to over heating. You must make sure that the area around the coil is kept clear and clean. Once a year take the shroud off and blow it off with compressed air or vacuum cleaner exhaust. If you see a buildup may have to do it twice a season.

Also having the wrong spark plug and setting will/can kill them.
