ok guys need advice and some help. i have 2 old snapper self propelled mowers im rebuilding and wanna see opinions on engine replacement, one has teh big six briggs and the other has the 7hp briggs. the big six is gone and locked up and dont know if the 7hp will run right. i wann buy 2 new engines but torn between briggs or honda. i have a honda push mower that has been awesome, its smoother than a snapper and cuts better and i have never been able to bog it down like a briggs but unsure on changing one to a honda engine. in some ways id like stick with briggs for parts availablity but like the smoothness of the honda. opinions??? also will the honda bolt up in place of the briggs? were can i find the exact shaft length and measurement on the engine that came off the old mower?
the model that is blown is a 12h802-1531-21 briggs. i think its a 25mm x 3-5/32
