I have a Briggs 22 horse vtwin every so often it throws push rods, I just replaced them and now it won't start it will turn but it doesn't seem to be getting any gas I have blown through the fuel lines they are clear. I have replaced the fuel filter and pump and air filter and battery and all it does is spin I also did an oil change and replaced the park plugs the only thing I can figure there isn't any compression to get the fuel flowing there is a crack in the top of the fuel tank not sure if that would affect anything, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for me
Ya I'm getting spark, but the gas doesn't seem to be getting to the fuel pump, I can disconnect the fuel line from the pump and gas will poor through the line but that's it when everything is connected up the gas doesn't seem to flow
I'm not familar with what carb you have on that unit....does it have an electric solonoid on the bottom of the carb bowl???If you do,when the key is on,the plunger should pull back, when the key is off,it should move outward. It just unscrews from the carb bowl.If that's not it,sounds like you need to take carb and check it out. That's what I would do man.....hope that helps.jc
Just re-read your post....have you removed fuel line at carb......past the pump......to see if pump is pumping?????If not, valve adjustment could be the problem.
Thanks for all the help I finally just took the motor off the mower and removed the casing and found the valve rods had almost completely desinagrated, just found an old weedeater for 300 hundred bucks and it works pretty darn good almost as good as the husq just not as comfortable
