Hello all,
I am pretty handy and have tried many things to correct my problem. I have a 17hp OHV Briggs and Stratton. It's been running rich, RPM is up and down, burning oil running rich and sucking up fuel.
So far I have replaced the carburetor, replaced the head gasket, polished and lapped the valves, set the valves at 0.006", clean the crankcase breather. Nothing has helped.
All I can think of it needs rings however the cylinder walls look great. I can still see polish makes and no score marks.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.
