Well couldn't read that post above but most likely cause is that the exhaust valve guide has moved up until the valve spring keeper is hitting it and breaking the rocker arm. NOT high compression. Briggs will say the cure is a new head but I have a tried and true fix used successfully by dozens of people. Check exhaust valve guide height against the Intake valve guide height. Valve guide should not be more than 1/8" above the head casting. IF you want my fix, address below, put in proper format and remind me engine model number and what you want.

PS: If that has happened, the most common cause is a cooling problem, plugged cooling fins and or cooling shroud.
