Briggs and Stratton engine identification

Hi

I have a problem with my MTD Lawnflite ride-on mower engine which seems to be faulty needle or float in the carburetor as the engine stopped after coughing and spluttering and the petrol drained into the oil sump overnight. (Thanks to ILENGINE for the diagnosis in a similar post.) My problem is that the sticker identifying the engine model is not on the blower housing where Briggs and Stratton's site says it should be. Can anyone help me identify the model (or tell me where else to look), please? I have attached one picture but can take more if needs be. Many thanks in anticipation.

Should be right above the sparks plug.

Some of them were stamped on the side of the air filter.
Remove the filter cover and check the cover.

Thank you both very much for the information - engine is identified as a 280000 series and now I have a copies of the Operating & Maintenance Instructions and workshop manual. Oh, how I wish that I had found this forum sooner!
