My tow behind tiller uses a B&S #13l332-0001 E8 engine. After two seasons use the engine lost spark and would not start. I disconnected the kill switch wires and still had no spark. I bought a new #590818 coil from a B&S dealer and set it up (this side out) at about .010" from the flywheel. No spark! I tested with a spark tester and then by clamping the spark plug (gapped at .030) to the block. I bought another coil, this time from Home Depot, same setup, no spark! I would be inclined to by another coil (north of fifty dollars) if it was guaranteed good. Otherwise, this $1500 tiller is junk.

Looks like electric start and may also have a low oil level sensor. If you have electric start make sure that you are not sending battery voltage down the kill wire to the module. Will cook the module instantly.
