I got a mower with the 150cc Briggs and Stratton. I am having hard to start issues. So far I have replaced the carburetor, adjusted the valves, clean and gapped spark plug, checked coil gap. Problem is you have to pull it 15 plus times to get it to start when cold. It puts a few seconds then catches and runs great. Any insite would be great.

Lets start with the model number information from the engine. So we can see which of the carb styles you have. Some systems were known to have issues with the air filter backing plate warping when used with primer systems and prevents priming.
Look for the engine model and serial number stamped into the valve cover or etched into the side of the engine block on the opposite side from the carburetor.
