Thank you for your reply, I know I must make sure of the shaft size, one problem I have is that kohler uses stickers on their engines with all the pertinent info on them, well LIke many who have experienced the problem that I am experiencing the sticker is gone, and Husquvarna is no help either. going by info I can garner the engine I quoted it the correct engine. you ask why change from kohler to briggs and Stratton, price if the big reason, from doing days of research the kohler replacement engine costs in the neighborhood of $2400'00 where a comparable briggs is half that.
