Briggs 27hp engine replacement

So my Ferris is500z engine had a catastrophic failure last night and I need to find a replacement quickly. It’s a Briggs 44q777 0146g5 27hp. Looks like this engine isn’t available anymore. Can anyone suggest a compatible engine? I’m struggling with the crankshaft length. I know it’s 1” in diameter, but I’m just not sure how to properly measure the length. Thanks I’m advance!

Looks like that engine supercedes to a 44Q777-3137-G5 which is now replaced with the 44S977-0032-G1
