Briga & stratton 3.5

New rings installed, engine kicks ( Pr-ignition) when I pull cord. Piston did not have visible markings other than X on inside piston on one side and something similar to 4 on the other side, or could I have reinstalled the connecting rod the wrong way, also is there a special way to insert the points plunger
