bricktop on off switch loose

i have a 1977 model 5024 bricktop .the primer ..on off switch jiggles around when engine is running.it still works but i have to hold it tight to turn off engine..it used to stay in place .idont know what happened .any ideas

My guess is that the switch may need to be replaced -- it is 35 years old, after all. :biggrin:

Please post some pictures of your mower. I have a couple of Lawn-Boys from that year... and it was a fine year.

Here's a photo of my 1977 model 6255 taken the day I bought it. It's cleaner now. :eek:
