my 77 model bricktop runs great but about every 20 to 30 seconds it has a miss ....other than that runs strong...what is causing this...any suggestions

Have you tried to adjust the air/fuel setting? I would tighten it until it bottoms out, then back it off a couple turns. You may have to fine-tune it some from there. How does it run under a load?

Hopefully. In my experiences, it's not uncommon to have to work on the old lawnboy carbs. They're really simple, and replacement parts are cheap.

just curios would the loose on off primer switch jumping around cause this miss ...have nt replaced it yet ...it has a spring on it mya be causing this hmmmm.will let yall know

The bricktop has a points/condenser ignition system. I would look to see if you have any loose wire connections, or worn parts. Good luck.
