I just bought a generator, a Firman Tri-fuel portable. I have not started it yet. No word in the manual about break-in. The owner's manual for every new vehicle I have owned recommended to vary the speeds for the first few hundred miles. Does a similar rule apply to generators? If so, I don't know if it just idles with no load, or runs full blast like my old generator. If it does idle, should I change up between idle, then 1/4 load, and 1/2 load or something similar? If there is no idle, just switch between no load, then 1/4 and 1/2 load? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
