Break/parking break stuck on

Mower starts fine but when i release the ckutch it just sits, i can hear it going under load but it wont go anywhere in any gear. The parking break is off, or it says off but the tires soon opposite directions when its lifted. Any ideas?

The wheels will turn opposite directions when lifted do to the differential. And you need to check the parking brake on the side of the transmission to confirm it is sticking or not. Normally located on the right side of the transmission as if you were sitting on the seat, and will be in front of the axle.
