Try just a cap full of straight gas in the cylinder hole . It will burn off in seconds and prime to fuel delivery system.

I would use carb cleaner and not straight gas in the cylinder.

carb cleaner will dry out the cylinders and possibly cause scoring if used in large amounts in the shop I use amsoil mp it will lubricate the cylinders

Just dip the spark plug in gas and quickly put it in the mower and pull the cord ...

Never had one dry out yet, and better than straight gas in a two cycle.

Way way to common in our shop - two cycle left over winter won't start without straight gas . You only need ONE good compression and fire stroke to get the two cycle mix into the system again.
Plug dipped in gas -
