I have a BR400 Backpack blower that I am having problems with. 3 weeks ago it ran fine and then I went to start it again and it would not start. I bought a new carburetor and replaced it and it starts and runs for about 5 seconds and dies out. The fuel filter, Spark Arrestor, fuel line, and spark plug are all brand new. I have done a compression test and that is good holding at 150 lbs. I do get spark at the plug but am starting to think the ignition coil may be the problem. Could this be weak and not pushing enough spark. Please help with some thoughts

Hello,

It could be the coil. Have to tried disconnecting the kill switch wire as it could be the kill switch too, or the wires going to it could have a short.

Regards

Jeff
