Bought "new" Simplicity Citation XT 52"

Well, in my case, I got a Snapper 360z 52” last year (a left-over 2017) at a great price.
My local dealer quoted me the firm $3899+ our 10.5%tax = $4308. (new 2019)
An out-of-town dealer quoted me $2999+ their 8% tax = $3239 (new 2017) He informed me the only change for 2019 was an now included hour meter! I checked out the left-over 2017 underneath the deck, the blades, and all over. It definitely was an unused, shiny, nary a scratch with a “stored” warehouse finish. I bought an hour meter and installed it when I got home.
But, now I knew what I was buying. The same exact unused brand spankin’’ new model with a 2 year old serial number. The price reflected this also! That’s A Big difference from your purchase.
I believe you were deceived. You felt safe to assume you were purchasing a new 2019 model. NOT a 2 YEAR old demonstrator with 5 hours already accumulated on it. I’d approach the dealer and give him a chance to MAKE IT GOOD - as in a new 2019 model mower or a full REFUND. Next see a lawyer or Better Business Bureau or both. That mower has “built-in” 2 year old depreciation $1200-1500 or more. He knew what he was selling you!
Ferris, Simplicity, Snapper Pro all share the same ICD decks & are all owned by the Briggs and Stratton Corporation.
Ferris and Simplicity have floating suspension models, Snapper Pro doesn’t.
My other Snapper Pro S150xt Kaw 52” runs HydroGear 4400 transaxles (but no suspension). More bang for your buck
