Please post the units model number or send a certified check to cover airfare so we can see the exact model you are talking about. Unit we know the type of drive system and tranny you have it is impossible to do anything but guess. The good techs on this forum hate guessing.

Since its shutting down the engine, it sounds like a safety switch. but that's assuming, post any model identification you can find.
