Bolen's 550 Series Briggs/Stratton Guzzling Gas & Sputtering

So my 185cc engine is sputtering and really guzzling the gas. I can personally change the spark plug (which I did), change the air filter (which I did), and get carburetor cleaner and clean the carburetor (which I did), but I can't figure this problem out and don't know what to do.
I am assuming the problem has to be with the carburetor but I'm hoping I can get some help on here with what to do. I don't know if I'm going to have to take the carburetor off of there if that's the case I may have to get someone to do it.
Does it sound like this is the problem? Anyone have any good advice?

We will need the model, type and code from the engine so we can best assist you in your repair. there was certain engines that had problems with the jet in the carb coming loose.

If this engine has a choke, pull off the air filter and make sure it's not stuck closed. If the engine has an autochoke, start the engine and make sure the choke opens when the engine's running.
