I have a craftsman LT4000,it ran and cut as it should but now I can only keep it running at full choke and bogs down when I engage the blades. Any ideas

If your fuel or air filters are clogged preventing either from getting to the carburetor the engine will often get booted down. Another possible cause could be if any of the jets in the carburetor are clogged.

You could start by spraying carb cleaner into the carb and into the jets then let it sit for a while (30 minutes to an hour). And sometimes the tiny gap underneath the adjusting screw on the carb will get clogged. So to take the screws out to spray down into the holes I usually count the number of turns I turn the screw until it is tight. Next, back the screws all the way out and spray the jets. To put the screws back in tighten them till they are tight. then back them out the number of turns it took to get them tight in the first place.
