I have a John Deere 757, about eight years old...rebuilt motor with about 20 hours on it..my problem is it bogs down (engine) when I get on a left leaning hill, like it's not getting gas...continues to run, but not at full throttle. If I sit still and wait, it all of a sudden will fix itself and begin revving full throttle again. I've checked the filter at the end of the pickup tube, looks fine, can't see any trash in gas reservoir. Any ideas?

Look for a wire that is touching metal in the engine compartment. Check for bare spots.
