I have a Bobcat ZX231 942241A. The mower will start with the brake tuned on but the engine shuts down when I remove the brake. I have had this used mower for two summers. I have cleaned on the connections in the wiring harness but no luck. I check the drive leavers with the brake on and they will kill the engine if engaged. I have checked the PTO with brake on and it too kills the motor. Engine will not turn over if brake is turned off also. john

It sounds like safety switch on seat, when you release brake it thinks you are not on seat and shuts mower down.

I agree...check the seat switch.
