Mower died while I was mowing. I had to replace the clutch assy. Also had a blown inline fuse.
Now mower starts with a new fuse in ti, but when I engage the blade clutch, it dies and blows the
fuse again.
Thanks for your help,
Carl
Trace the wiring from the clutch to the switch. You will probably find a spot where the wire insulation is rubbed through and causing a short circuit. Inspect every inch of wire and be very observant of the areas where the wires come in contact with metal edges.
What machine is it? Did this also happen "before" you replaced the clutch? If not, pull the wire/plug out of the clutch and engage the clutch switch with the key in the run position. If it still blows a fuse, you will have at least eliminated a possible faulty clutch.
