Blower question

I know it's not a mower, but a new purchase so figured I'd post here (if its the wrong place let me know)

I was looking at a few reman homelite blowers on eBay, just going to use it 3-4 times a year to blow off sidewalks after I trim bushes in my neighborhood. I'm on the HOA board and volunteered to do this, we have a lawn service that takes care of mowing

Any thoughts on buying a piece of reman/refurbished equipment? Just was after something kinda inexpensive since I won't use it a lot

Being kinda inexpensive can turn out to be more expensive in the long run. I don't have anything bad to say about refurbished equipment, but my problem is that the Homelite seems to have more of that out there than there new equipment. I think maybe looking for a different manufacturer maybe a good choice. You mite try checking HD refurbished section, I have seen some refurbished Echo units at Home depot on occasion.

I did check out a featherlight (weedeater brand) at lowes last night, was $79 for a new one. Didn't have the trigger throttle just the throttle lever on the carb, any experience with them? I don't need the vac option which seems to add to the price.

Actually a few years back this was the blower I started working commercially with. The throttle takes getting used to but the thing worked great good power. Only used it one season so not sure on quality or durability but my brother in law still uses it at his house
