Blades blades won't engage

Anyone have any idea why my (old) Ferris' blades won't engage? It's one of the old ones that has a sulky on the back, and uses the brakes to turn. The engine turns on fine, but this morning, the blades won't engage.

Finally figured out what the issue was, and man, do I feel dumb! The belt came off the pulley *SMH*
